Eagle History
The 5th Fighter Interceptor Squadron was stationed at Minot AFB, North Dakota. The 5th FIS received the first F-15A/B’s on December 4th, 1985 replacing the F-106A’s. the 5th FIS Spittin Kittens only operated the F-15 for three years until July 1, 1988. The F-15’s were transferred to the 101st Fighter Interceptor Squadron at Otis AFB, Massachusetts
